Civil Society News Network (CSNN) and ISFOA – Istituto Superiore di Finanza e Organizzazione Aziendale (ISFOA University) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework for cooperation in the areas of civic education, international dialogue, academic collaboration and the development of civil society.
CSNN and ISFOA University in the International Dialogue Environment
Civil Society News Network is an international civil society information network dedicated to analytical journalism, institutional dialogue and the strengthening of civic awareness. CSNN operates within the global ecosystem of civil society organisations engaged with the United Nations system and develops partnerships with international institutions working in the fields of human rights, public policy, international dialogue and social development.
ISFOA – Istituto Superiore di Finanza e Organizzazione Aziendale, originating from Switzerland, is an international academic and research institution operating in the global educational environment. The institution develops educational programmes and academic initiatives in areas including economics, social sciences, international law, institutional governance and public communication, fostering dialogue between academia, public institutions and civil society organisations.
Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dawid Szabłowski, Founder and Global Editor-in-Chief of Civil Society News Network, and Stefano Masullo, Rector of ISFOA University.
The agreement establishes a formal basis for cooperation between the two institutions, creating an institutional platform for educational initiatives, expert debates, academic projects and activities focused on the development of civil society.
Scope of Future Cooperation
Under the provisions of the memorandum, the parties may cooperate in organising:
- academic seminars,
- international debates,
- expert roundtables,
- educational initiatives promoting democratic values, civic responsibility and constructive international dialogue,
- international forums and conferences dedicated to strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and civil society organisations.
The document also provides for the development of joint initiatives designed to strengthen civic awareness, promote expert dialogue and build long-term partnerships between academic institutions, civil society organisations and international stakeholders.
Role of Equal Society International
The document also recognises the potential participation of Equal Society International (ESI) — a Poland-based foundation working in the areas of civic education and social development — in selected initiatives implemented within the framework of the cooperation.
This model of collaboration enables the development of cross-sector initiatives combining educational, social, civic and international dimensions.
Diplomatic Facilitation and Institutional Coordination
An important role in the preparation of the agreement was played by Mr. Emanuele Mosca, Special Ambassador for Legal & Strategic Affairs – CSNN, who facilitated dialogue between the parties and coordinated the institutional process leading to the conclusion of the memorandum.
His diplomatic engagement and experience in international legal and institutional cooperation contributed to establishing the foundations of the partnership and ensuring the successful coordination of the agreement process.
A New Step in International Partnership Development
The signing of the memorandum represents another stage in the development of Civil Society News Network’s international partnerships, aimed at strengthening civic education, institutional dialogue and cooperation between academic communities, public institutions and civil society organisations.
From a strategic perspective, the agreement contributes to building stable platforms for collaboration between the civil society sector and academia, while maintaining standards of responsible international communication and long-term institutional development.
